Siden featured in the SVTA Member Spotlight

The Streaming Video Technology Alliance featured Siden in its Member Spotlight, with CEO Jim Nelson on quality at the edge and why Siden joined.

The Streaming Video Technology Alliance (SVTA) has featured Siden in its Member Spotlight, with CEO Jim Nelson on why Siden joined the alliance and where streaming needs to go next.

Quality at the edge

In the spotlight, Jim names consistent quality at the edge as the biggest technical challenge facing streaming. More viewers now watch where the network can't be trusted: in the air, at sea, and in rural areas. That pushes caching, delivery, and AI onto devices at the edge, and the hard part is operating thousands of them across different networks and vendors.

It's the same problem behind Siden Beam AI: keeping software current, observable, and under control across a fleet of edge devices. We wrote about it in why edge AI stalls between the pilot and the fleet.

Why Siden joined the SVTA

Siden delivers video where networks are hardest, over satellite, fixed wireless, and links that come and go. We joined the SVTA to work with the companies solving these problems at scale, share what we've learned, and support open approaches, like the alliance's Open Caching specifications, that help the whole ecosystem work together.
